Ravishankar Prasad urges small businesses to use digitalisation for growth

New Delhi, Aug 13 (KNN) Union Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has urged the small entrepreneurs to use digitalisation to grow their businesses further.

He said that 25 new mobile companies have established their base in India under the Digital India movement where more than 50000 youth have got employment.

He was speaking at the India International Expo and Summit-2016 in Pragati Maidan.

“Around 65 per cent of the youth in our country is skilled and they can contribute to the growth of the country if they use themselves fully. Hence, the government had started the Digital India movement where Rs. 30000 crores are spending in it” he added.

Minister stressed that government wants to promote the entrepreneurship in the country, and as a result of this Startup India, Standup India and Skilled India programmes are being running in the country. The results of these programmes have started to come out and the number of startups is increasing.

Prasad assured that the government is committed to solve the problems of traders and they can come to government to tell their problems easily. (KNN Bureau)
